A young man injured in a car accident underwent a rare surgery at King Abdullah Medical City

Makkah | A young man injured in a car accident underwent a rare surgery at the King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah. The Saudi News Agency reported that the surgery, which was performed using a modern three-dimensional surgical planning technique, was successful.

The fracture and deformity of the forehead bone was repaired following a three-hour surgery. The Health Directorate of Makkah said that this technology is to take CT scan images and convert them into three-dimensional forms and then print and install them on the injured area. In the past years, the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department has performed 75 special surgeries.
