In St. Petersburg on a hot Saturday, July 2, there were many fires. In the evening, the townspeople in social networks reported that something was burning in the Serafimovsky cemetery – possibly poplar fluff.
On the video in the telegram channel “Metropolis” Several fires are visible. “This fluff is on fire, I live in the same house, it started in one place and went on very quickly,” says one of the subscribers in the comments. “Khabariki are thrown away, and there everything is covered in poplar fluff,” adds another.

On July 2, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in St. Petersburg reported 11 fires. Burned cars, change houses (twice), garbage (twice), garages, hangars, apartments. During a fire in an apartment in Nogina lane, 6, (Nevsky district), at the beginning of the seventh evening, a woman was injured, she was hospitalized.
Readers of Fontanka also reported smoke in the gas station building on Kronverkskaya Embankment, opposite the Peter and Paul Fortress. There are no fire trucks in the video. Information regarding such a fire was not received from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
