Abu Kasem condemned the arrest of William Noun and the exposure of Father George Sawma in Byblos

The director of the Catholic Media Center, Father Abdo Abu Kasem, condemned “the unfair judicial procedures that are taking place with the activist William Noun and the families of the victims of the Beirut port bombing, denouncing” the exposure to Father George Soma in Byblos and the handling of the protesters with this unusual harshness.

Abu Kasem hopes to “stop these practices and not turn the state into a police state, and to condemn the victim instead of revealing the truth in the Beirut port bombing file.”

He concluded by affirming “solidarity with the families of the victims of the port and their rightful cause, and his call for the immediate release of William Noun and the retreat from pursuing the families of the oppressed victims.”
