Vienna – After an accumulation of cases of fraud in which criminals pretend to be police officers or prosecutors, the Vienna police are once more warning of these crimes. In a recent case, a 78-year-old from Vienna-Wieden was fooled by an alleged public prosecutor into an accident involving her daughter. With this scam, the perpetrators got hold of the woman’s gold assets worth 15,000 to 30,000 euros.
