In the conflict with the City of Vienna, the Medical Association is tightening the pace around the acute staffing situation in Vienna’s hospitals. Accordingly, the chamber will invite to strike training courses in the individual houses of the Vienna Health Association (Wigev) in the coming days and weeks. This emerges from an e-mail that was sent to all employed doctors in Vienna on Friday. The document is in the STANDARD. In addition, individual strike training would take place with selected departments “that have already decided to strike for their interests and are already choosing their strike leaders,” it said. The e-mail was signed by Curia Chairman Stefan Ferenci, who is also Executive Vice-President of the Vienna Chamber, and the Deputy Curia Chairman Anna Kreil and Eduardo Maldonado-González.
