Vienna – The independence of legal advice for asylum seekers is not adequately protected by law by the Federal Care Agency (BBU), which was set up under Schwarz-Blue, which violates the right to an effective legal remedy. The Constitutional Court decided this in a legal review process. The relevant provisions are repealed as unconstitutional. The legislature now has until July 1, 2025 to introduce new legal regulations.
