The first circuit of the Cairo Economic Court acquitted Youtuber Ashraf Malak of the accusation of disturbing Counselor Mortada Mansour.
The lawyer in cassation, Muhammad Rashwan, was present on behalf of the accused, and he said in a statement to Masrawy that he had submitted a memorandum of his defense that was folded in the absence of the elements of the crime.
The Economic Affairs and Money Laundering Prosecution charged the accused in Misdemeanor No. 620 of 2023 with two charges. He published, on YouTube, news regarding the victim, Mortada Mansour, that violated his privacy without his consent, and that was through the “Akhbar Takeaway” channel.
It also accused him of deliberately disturbing the victim, who passed by, by reminding him of the misuse of communications equipment.
