These are ceramic plates with different colors and designs. The AFSCA and Action are withdrawing them from sale due to the migration of cadmium into the foods deposited there. When cadmium is stored in the body in large amounts, it can cause health problems such as kidney dysfunction, osteoporosis, respiratory problems and lung cancer.
