Now that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III has arrived, Activision has released a report on how it continues to work to combat and overcome the community of cheaters plaguing its Call of Duty multiplayer experience. This mainly manifests in the use of machine learning to make its anti-cheat efforts more efficient and stronger, but for Warzone, it also involves a more hands-on and hilarious approach to stopping cheaters from ruining someone’s game. The new feature, simply called Splat, sees Activision able to cut off any cheater’s parachute, meaning they will fall to their death before the game even starts. Speaking regarding the feature, Activision said: “With Splat, if we detect a cheater, we can randomly, and just for fun, disable their parachute, sending them into the ground following they deploy.” The really hilarious part of this feature It can also be adjusted so that if a cheater parachutes, it will catapult them 10,000 feet into the air, on a crash course to a determined and inevitable (no parachute) fall to their death. We look forward to hearing more regarding how Splat will be implemented in the future. Do you think Splat is a good solution to the Call of Duty cheating problem?
