At the age of 92, the outstanding actress of theater, film and television passed away Violeta Vidaurre, as confirmed in its social networks by Corporación ChileActores.
“Another of our great actresses who is leaving. Today we say goodbye to the tremendous Violeta Vidaurre. Inexhaustible, told that he had played more than 200 characters during his career“, highlighted the acting guild about the interpreter.
One of her first breakthroughs in the theater occurred in 1960 when she played “Laura Larraín” in “The Pergola of flowers”, later accumulating works in works such as “La Remienda”, “Antígona” by Víctor Jara, “Martín Rivas” and “Casa de Muñecas”, among others.
In soap operas he also had a long career which began at the beginning of the 70’s with “Sin amor” on Channel 13, although soon after he went to TVN to join the cast of “La torre 10”, “The game of life” and “La gran mentira”, among others. .
In the following decades he participated in productions of all open television channels and accumulated credits in “Romané”, “Pampa Ilusión”, “Adrenalina”, “Amor at home”, “Don floro” and “El circo de las Montini”.
For some years, Vidaurre was living in a nursing home affected by Alzheimer’s. In 2018 her husband, also actor Pedro Villagra, passed away due to a stroke.
