AD will start presidential campaign on Saturday, July 6 in a sign of support for Cumanacoa

The National Secretary General of Democratic Action, (AD), Bernabé Gutiérrez, announced today that the start of the presidential campaign with his candidate Luis Eduardo Martínez will be on Saturday, July 6 in Caracas and not on Thursday, July 4, as a sign of support for Cumanacoa. The starting point will be specifically in Catia, Sucre parish, the place where this political group was born.

Due to the overflow of the Manzanares River in the Montes municipality, the activation of a collection center has been announced starting Wednesday, July 3 at 5:00 pm at the AD headquarters in Caracas, as well as in all party headquarters in each state and in the 365 municipalities.

Luis Eduardo Martínez’s presidential campaign will be on Saturday, July 6, in support of Cumanacoa.

However, the affected state will not participate in the collection of supplies, food and medicines, since it will be the area served by the emergency. “That is where we all must help to resolve the problem,” he emphasized.

He also regretted the incident suffered by the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, and other authorities when a tree fell on them while they were traveling in Cumanacoa to attend to an emergency and assess the damage, causing injuries.

“We also regret this because tragedies have no political color and Acción Democrática has always been respectful in this regard,” he said.

He ended by addressing the Venezuelan population: “I ask you to trust AD and on July 28th vote for the white card, below and to the left, because when the ADecos have been in government, they have done so successfully. Although it may hurt some, it is AD that has contributed to the construction of Venezuela.”
