Adjustments to the MotoGP™ Race Schedule at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit Due to Severe Weather Forecast

Those responsible reacted to the bad weather forecast with strong gusts of wind on Sunday: The premier class GP race over the full distance will take place on Saturday, the sprint on Sunday.

Wind gusts of up to 80 km/h are forecast for Sunday on Phillip Island, so the schedule of the “MotoGP™ Guru by Gryfyn Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix” has now been adjusted: The MotoGP Grand Prix race over the full 27 laps -Distance has been rescheduled for 3:10 p.m. local time on Saturday (6:10 a.m. in Central Europe).

The Tissot Sprint is scheduled to take place on Sunday at 2 p.m. (5 a.m. in Central Europe), weather permitting. The program for small classes will remain unchanged until further notice.

World Cup promoter Dorna said it was a proactive decision to ensure the best possible and safe show for all participants and fans visiting the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit this weekend.
