ADO Den Haag is still on course in the battle for promotion. At home, FC Den Bosch was simply put aside. Darije Kalezic’s team won 3-0. Jari Vlak crowned his home debut with a fantastic goal. The other goals from The Hague were made by Henk Veerman and Henri Koudossou.
After a midweek cup match, ADO Den Haag met FC Den Bosch in its own Bingoal Stadium on Sunday, February 11. ADO Den Haag started with one change compared to the cup match once morest NEC. The 3-0 then seemed closer than a possible goal, it was Waem who headed the ball onto the post and Ideho miraculously might not shoot in the rebound. Unfortunately, luck was lacking in this attack. Just before the final phase of the match, the visitors did something back. Vicario shot the crossbar from a distance, allowing FC Den Bosch to also score a noteworthy opportunity. The Hague Quarter sounded through the stadium when Van Wolfgang and Koudossou made their appearance. Schalk had already come on a few minutes earlier. ADO Den Haag continued to search for that third goal.
In the last minutes of the match there was another special moment that got the crowd in the Bingoal Stadium on their feet. Timothy Derijck returned to ADO Den Haag for the second time and was more than warmly welcomed by the supporters. The match seemed to be heading for a solid 2-0 victory. However, substitute Henri Koudossou once once more gave those present reason to cheer. After a long sprint from behind, he received the ball in the loop and managed to neatly place it in the far corner.
ADO Den Haag recorded a convincing 3-0 home victory. The numbers 1 and 2 of the rankings will meet on Friday. ADO Den Haag will then visit Willem II. A week later, MVV Maastricht is waiting at home.
