Ingolstadt – The federal chairman of the German AfD party, Tino Chrupalla, was hospitalized on Wednesday during an election campaign event in Ingolstadt. According to his office, he is being monitored there in intensive care. He is responsive and stable under the circumstances. A police spokesman said police wanted to investigate whether third parties might be responsible for the incident. Reports are circulating on social networks that it was a “planned attack” on the politician. However, the police say there is currently no evidence of an attack.
