Afentra PLC Reports Pre-Tax Loss in Q2 2023, Share Price Down 13%: Latest Updates from Africa’s Oil & Gas Sector

Afentra PLC – an upstream oil and gas company focused on acquiring mature production and development assets in Africa – records a pre-tax loss of USD 3.9 million in the six months ended June 30, up from USD 2.9 million USD the previous year. No income was recorded, as in the previous year. The loss widens due to an increase in pre-licensing fees from £1.6 million to $2.2 million. The company’s liquidity as of June 30 fell to USD 15.7 million, compared to USD 35.1 million at the same date last year.
