Afghan people in distress, Afghan people determined to fight Taliban

by Alexandra Hartman Editor-in-Chief

Kabul: People in distress following the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan. Women collectively say that all freedom has sunk. The general public can do nothing of their own. It is widely rumored that the Taliban have brought peace to Afghanistan. But in reality people are accusing the country of being frozen.

The people have not suffered so much even during the last 20 years of constant war. People say that in those days there was freedom and economic power in all spheres of trade, business and education.

The Taliban have detained Afghan women inside their homes. Even the heads of female figures in the clothing store were beheaded on the grounds that they were in accordance with Sharia law. The world is watching such Talibanism with ridicule.

If women have to travel more than 72 km, it is mandatory to have a male companion. It has been made strict that women who do not wear the hijab should not be allowed in the vehicle. All girls’ schools were closed. People also allege that journalists are being hunted down and killed.
