On Sunday, it was announced that the 28-year-old South African rapper, Costa Teach, had died at the end of the week, hours following he fell on stage during a musical performance.
CNN said that his family announced his death on Instagram, without giving reasons.
And a clip spread on the communication sites showing the rapper, whose real name is Konstantinos Tsubanoglu, as he fell on the stage, before someone lifted him next to him, then he stood for several seconds and fell once more.
The management of the festival, which the musician was attending, said it was “deeply saddened” by the death, and said he was “an influential voice in amappiano music (a local type of hip-hop). He was a talented rapper, dancer, singer, songwriter, collaborator and friend of the festival.”
