The Lebanese singer, George Al-Rassi, was killed, at dawn on Saturday, as a result of a traffic accident in the Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon on the border with Syria, according to press information that also spoke of the death of a woman who was with him in the car.
The official Lebanese “National News Agency” stated that Al-Rassi, 39, “died following his car hit a median barrier in the Masnaa locality, at the point separating the Lebanese and Syrian borders, while he was coming from the Syrian border.”

And the Lebanese Civil Defense pointed out in a tweet via Twitter, in which it revealed the accident, without specifying the identities of the two victims, that its members used “hydraulic rescue equipment” due to “the car’s structure was severely damaged as a result of the force of the accident.” They took the two bodies to the hospital in the nearby town of Taanayel.

On social media, some of Al-Rassi’s colleagues and fans mourned the departure of the young artist, offering condolences to his sister, the artist, Nadine Al-Rassi.
The young singer has several albums to his credit since his launch in the mid-nineties, and many songs in different dialects, especially Lebanese and Egyptian, some of which have become widespread in Arab countries.
