The price of gold jumped today, Friday, in Egypt, with the start of trading the day following the Central Bank of Egypt’s decision to raise interest rates by 3% on Thursday, which is the largest increase in interest rates this year.
After the Central Bank’s decision, the price of a gram of 21 carat gold decreased by regarding 70 pounds, before it returned to rise this morning, and the gram increased by regarding 35 pounds.
Gold prices today
14 karat gold prices increased to 1157 pounds per gram.
The price of 18 karat gold rose to 1487 pounds per gram.
And the price of 21 carat gold increased to 1735 pounds per gram.
And the price of 24 karat gold rose to 1983 pounds per gram.
The price of the gold pound
The price of the gold pound increased to 13880 pounds, and the price may vary from one merchant to another, and this price is equal to the value of gold in the pound.
The global price of gold
The price of gold fell globally by evening trading on Thursday, to regarding $1,807 an ounce, a decline of 0.39%, according to Bloomberg agency data.
