After supplier bankruptcy: book publishers breathe a sigh of relief

On January 24th, an insolvency announcement terrified the local book publishers. Medienlogistik Pichler-ÖBZ (MELO) in Wiener Neustadt, which delivers around eight million books for local publishers to bookstores, schools and authorities every year, offered its creditors a quota of 20 percent in a restructuring process. The claims of the approximately 80 creditors amounted to almost ten million euros.
