Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Chinese health authorities have settled the controversy over eating canned yellow peaches, which were promoted as a “magic medicine” for the treatment of corona, and this led to a large number of Chinese rushing to buy it.
The “South China Morning Post” said that Chinese shoppers who mistakenly believe that peaches can help treat the “Corona” virus, are buying a lot of canned fruits that are out of stock on online sales platforms. Gao Xiaoling, deputy director of a hospital in Shaanxi Province, added, Canned yellow peaches are not really a special medicine for treating cough and fever, but rather a sweet “placebo” like the cake you eat, or the milk tea you drink when you feel stressed.
The Beijing Youth Daily wrote, “The finding that canned yellow peaches can cure diseases derived from good childhood memories has no practical value in treating diseases, and can only be considered as a kind of joke or poetic expression.”
