Hakimi insulted Infantino

As in the semi-final once morest the France team, the Moroccans were very busy with the refereeing. Achraf Hakimi allegedly had a heated altercation with world football boss Gianni Infantino at the end of the Croatia-Morocco game according to Thomas Wagner, journalist for MagentaTV.

The Paris Saint-Germain defender would have copiously insulted the president of Fifa who was waiting to enter the field to hand over the third place medals to Luka Modric’s teammates.

After calling the Swiss leader to account, Achraf Hakimi was then escorted into the Moroccan locker room.

At the final whistle, Romain Saiss and several executives of the Moroccan selection took on the Qatari referee Mr. Al Jassim. The reason ? A penalty not whistled in added time.

Moroccans seem to have a real problem with refereeing at this World Cup. They had also challenged several decisions of the referee in the semi-final once morest France. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has lodged a complaint with the Arbitration Commission of the world body.
