JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy conveyed that the government should reduce joint leave in 2021 from 7 days to 2 days.
Muhadjir put forward the reason for reducing the joint leave holiday in 2021, namely because the curve of increasing Covid-19 in Indonesia is not yet adequate.
This was conveyed by Muhadjir in the Ministerial Level Coordination Meeting to Review the Joint Decree on Joint Leave 2021, Monday (22/2)
“After reviewing the SKB, the joint leave is reduced from the original seven days to only two days,” said Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy, Monday (22/2/2021).
Other considerations include making it easier for the Police to manage community movements.
Because it is known that there is always a tendency for Covid-19 cases to increase after a long holiday.
Muhadjir explained, there were 5 days of cut-off in 2021, namely collective leave in the framework of Isra Mi’raj of the Prophet Muhammad SAW on March 12, Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijriah on May 17-19, and Christmas 2021 on December 27 .
In the previous SKB there were 7 days of joint leave. However, after a review, the joint leave is reduced from the original 7 days to 2 days.
