MEMBER of the DPR RI and musician Ahmad Dhani praised the speech delivered by President Prabowo Subianto after being inaugurated as president-elect for the 2024-2029 period in Plenary Meeting Room I, MPR/DPR/DPD Building, Jakarta, Sunday (20/10).
“It was the president’s opening speech at the beginning of his administration at his best,” said the frontman of the band Dewa19.
“Almost an hour of speech without text and all members of the MPR fell silent and felt the enthusiastic vibes from the speech,” he added.
So, said Dhani, MPR members were carried away by the atmosphere and had new enthusiasm and hopes for Prabowo in the 2024-2029 term of office.
Regarding the issue of the ministers of education and culture being separated, Dhani said that later the nomenclature of music and film would be in the culture department. “Hopefully that’s true because it means that the new minister and I will try to improve the pop culture sector, yes, films and music are part of pop culture. “Part of a large sector is culture,” he said.
He said that Fadli Zon was a candidate who was predicted to become minister of culture. “Hopefully, as a member of the DPR RI, I can work together with the new minister. “God willing, Fadli Zon will improve the advancement of the Indonesian music and film industry,” he said. (M-3)
