The European Union’s AI Act should have been the world’s first law regulating artificial intelligence in all areas of life. But the implementation is faltering: some legislators already consider the AI Act to be outdated and are calling for a global summit at which global rules for the use of artificial intelligence should be set. But even before a revision, the implementation of the AI rules comes to a standstill, as the Austrian State Secretary for Digitization, Florian Tursky, now criticizes.
