Airport chaos: Montreal and Toronto were the worst in the world this summer

Canada received the gold medal in the massive delays that have accumulated this summer at airports, with Toronto Pearson and Montreal-Trudeau in first and second place respectively.

Nearly half of arrivals were delayed at these two international airports over the summer, according to CNN reporting data from FlightAware.

Vancouver airport meanwhile finished in 10th place in the ranking of airport delays worldwide, with more than a third of flights not landing on time.

Chaos was felt from the start of the summer season all over the world, but passengers transiting through Montreal did not escape it either for departures or for arrivals.

Air Canada had suffered major turbulence among the airlines, particularly due to numerous lost or untraceable baggage, in addition to labor problems and delays.

However, the situation improved at the beginning of September. As of September 8, 11% of Air Canada flights were delayed worldwide, according to FlightAware. Around noon, 62 trips were delayed at Montreal-Trudeau airport.
