Igor Akinfeev recognized as the best goalkeeper of the 2021/22 season in RPL.
Last season, the 36-year-old goalkeeper conceded 28 goals in 29 games of the Russian championship for CSKA and played 13 clean sheets. Akinfeev became the best in the number of games without conceded goals for the seventh time.
The top three goalkeepers in clean sheets also included Ilya Lantratov from Khimki and Ivan Lomaev from “Wings of the Soviets” – Nine each.
In the course of the season, the captain of CSKA broke the record of the Russian Championship in terms of matches played – by the end of the season their number reached 514.
