Al-Ahly Bank issues a platinum certificate for 3 years with an annual return of 17.25%

Al-Ahly Bank stated – in a statement today, Thursday, that the bank’s Assets and Liabilities Committee decided to increase the interest rate on the 3-year platinum certificate with a monthly return, to become at a return of 16% annually instead of 14%, starting today, for new or automatically renewed certificates.

The bank also issued the same certificate at a rate of 16.25% annually on a quarterly return periodic, and at a rate of 16.50% annually on a semi-annual return periodic.

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank decided, in its extraordinary meeting today, to raise the interest rates on the overnight deposit and lending returns and the price of the main operation of the Central Bank, which is 200 basis points, to reach 13.25%, 14.25% and 13.75%, respectively, and the credit rate was also raised. The discount is 200 basis points to 13.75%.
