The Lebanese team achieved a friendly victory at the expense of Jordan, 2-1, in the match that took place at the stadium of President Fouad Shehab Complex in Jounieh, as part of the two teams’ preparations for the Asian Youth Qualifiers. The match witnessed a negative first half result, amid a balanced performance by both teams.
In the second half, Lebanon had a strong start, as Ali Qassas scored the first goal in the 58th minute, following a strong free kick that he shot directly into the net.
Lebanon added the second goal in the 70th minute through Ali Akbar Manna following a free kick by Ali Reda Ismail, and Mannaa turned it into the net.
Sultan Al-Sheyyab scored the goal to reduce the difference for Jordan in the 74th minute following a quick counter-attack, as Al-Sheyyab shot it to the right of the goalkeeper.
Thus, the Jordanian youth team camp in Lebanon ended with two friendly losses 3-0 and 1-2, but with a great technical benefit.
