Al Duhail achieved its first victory in the Qatar Stars League, and came at the expense of Al Rayyan 2-1 in the top of the third round matches.
Al Rayyan took the lead by France’s Johan Poully, just eight minutes into the start.
With the beginning of the second half, Youssef Ayman scored the equalizer for Al Duhail, so that the last minutes of the match witnessed great excitement, with Khaled Saleh tipping the balance of Al Duhail by scoring the second goal in the 87th minute, and two minutes later Al Rayyan received a penalty kick following which Diab Haroun was expelled, but Polly failed. In translating it, a second goal following hitting the crossbar, Al Duhail managed to win its first victory, while Al Rayyan suffered the third loss in a row.
Al-Arabi maintained the lead of the standings by defeating Al-Markhiya with two goals without a response for the same round
Syrian Omar Al-Soma opened the scoring in the forty-ninth minute, scoring his first goal with Al-Arabi, and Tunisian Youssef Msakni added the second goal at the seventy-third minute, securing his team’s third win in a row.
