Spanish press reports indicated that Barcelona is regarding to agree to sell Brazilian player Philippe Coutinho to Aston Villa on a final contract, following the end of his loan at the end of the current season.
The Catalan newspaper, Mundo Deportivo, said that the English club has a non-compulsory purchase option of 40 million euros, but the deal will not exceed 20 million euros.
Barcelona expressed its satisfaction with the sale of Coutinho, given that he is one of the highest paid players in the team, and the Catalan club will be able to compensate for some of the loss due to the signing of the Brazilian player from Liverpool for a large amount in 2018.
Aston Villa manager Steve Gerrard has publicly asked for Coutinho and despite the fact that he has not scored or assisted in recent games, he has insisted on signing him.
