Chelsea suddenly announced its separation from German coach Thomas Tuchel, one day following the sudden loss of the “Blues” at Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia, with a goal without a response in the first stage of the Group E matches of the Champions League.
This decision comes due to the poor results of the English team at the beginning of the new season, despite the large spending in the summer transfer market.
And a statement from the London club stated that he had separated from coach Thomas Tuchel.
He added: “Thomas will deservedly have a place in Chelsea’s history following winning the Champions League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup during his time here.”
He continued, “100 days following the new owner group took over the management of the club, and as they continue to work hard moving forward, the new owners believe this is the time to make this move.”
And he added, “The Chelsea technical staff will take over the team’s responsibility for training and preparing for our next matches, knowing that the club is moving quickly to appoint a new coach.”
Tuchel, 49, supervised the fortunes of the “Blues” in January 2021, succeeding Frank Lampard, and led the team, only months later, to the Champions League title at the expense of Manchester City in the final.
It is noteworthy that Chelsea is currently ranked sixth in the English Premier League following three wins, a draw and two losses.
