Al-Manar Sports website » Flick comments on the decline in the level of Bayern Munich

The German national football team coach Hansi Flick confirmed that he is not concerned regarding the difficult period that Bayern Munich is going through at the present time, two months before the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“Bayern played superbly at the beginning of the season, and following the third stage of the German League, everyone thought that the other teams did not have a chance,” Flick said in an interview published by the German news agency. “Now they are going through a phase where the team looks more weak, but they always create chances and that gives me a very positive feeling,” he added.

Flick, who in the national team relies on a large group of Bayern players, led by goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, still believes that the Bavarian team players have “enormous competence” and a “special style”.

Flick also believes that Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann is a wonderful coach, and said, “I am a fan of the way he plays in the team, regardless of the recent results.”

Flick also does not see that Bayern Munich made a mistake in deciding not to sign a traditional spearhead to replace Robert Lewandowski, who moved to Barcelona.

“What should they have done?” Flick said. Robert is exceptional in this position, maybe Haaland, the Manchester City player, has that quality in front of goal.”

Flick said that Sadio Mane joined Bayern and is definitely a first-class player.
