Led by player Klay Thompson, the Golden State Warriors qualified for the NBA Finals following winning the Western Conference title, last night.
Golden State ensured competition for the championship title following its 120/110 victory over its guest Dallas Mavericks in the fifth game between them in the Western Division Final and a 4-1 victory on the aggregate score to be decided on the basis of the best in seven games.
Thompson contributed to his team’s victory by scoring 32 points and equalizing its record during the playoffs this season.
The final round of the tournament will begin in San Francisco on June 2, and its total result will be decided on the basis of the best in seven matches as well.
Golden State won the championship in 2015, 2017, and 2018.
In the Eastern Conference final, the Boston Celtics lead 3-2 over the Miami Heat in the aggregate score before the sixth game between them.
