Zamalek club was officially crowned the Egyptian League champion for the 2021/2022 season, following its chasers Pyramids lost to Future on Monday in the 32nd round of the competition. The loss froze the balance of Pyramids at 68 points from 32 games, 7 points behind Zamalek, who played 31 games.
Zamalek has 14 titles in the Egyptian league, knowing that this title is the second in a row for him in the local league.
The last time that Zamalek won the Egyptian League title in two consecutive seasons was in 2002/2003 and 2003/2004.
