Alaa Mubarak Responds to Prime Minister’s Criticism of Urban Planning: New Administrative Capital

Alaa Mubarak, son of the late President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, commented on Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly’s criticism of previous governments, claiming that they did not do good urban planning.

During the handover ceremony of the first three administrative towers, within the central business district of the New Administrative Capital, Madbouly said: “We are not doing these projects for ourselves, but for our grandchildren, so that they have a healthy place in which to live.”

He added: “If those before us had planned correctly 30 or 40 years ago, our generations would have at least found safe and planned places to live in.”
