The 2024 Hammersonic music festival lost two performers, namely Alesana and Converge. Ravel Entertainment as the organizer also opened their voices regarding the reasons for the withdrawal of the two bands from line up.
It is known that Alesana and Converge suddenly canceled their presence at Hammersonic 2024. The two bands canceled their attendance less than a week before the music festival which was scheduled to take place at Ancol Carnival Beach, Jakarta,.
“Chronologically, before Alesana went to Indonesia, there was a festival in the United States. Because Alesana is from North Carolina. To access Indonesia, Alesana had to take three flights. It’s a shame that the music concert in America was cancelled, and like it or not, Alesana also canceled going to Indonesia. “That is beyond our capacity,” said Ravel Entertainment representative Krisna Wono Gunawan at a press conference, Thursday (2/5).
Meanwhile, for Coverage, Krisna said that the health condition of one of its personnel, Kurt Ballou (guitarist), meant that the American band might not come to Jakarta.
“In terms of coverage, we all know that Kurt has an infection in his leg. “When it comes to health issues, we can no longer talk much and can only accept it,” he said.
Even though Alesana and Converge canceled their appearance at Hammersonic 2024, Ravel Entertainment has prepared a replacement band. Hammersonnic Festival CEO, Ravel Junardy, announced that Saosin will appear at Hammersonic 2024.
“We as promoters have certainly worked as hard as possible to ensure the smooth running of the Hammersonic Festival 2024, that’s why we present Saosin as a replacement. “Hopefully it can make Hammersonic Festival 2024 even more exciting,” stressed Ravel.
Meanwhile, Hammersonic 2024 will be held at Carnaval Ancol Beach, Jakarta, on May 4 and 5 2024. This prestigious metal music festival in Southeast Asia will present 53 bands from hard music genres (metal, rock to punk), including Lamb of God (America) , A Day To Remember (America), Cradle of Filth (England), Yngwie Malmsteen (Switzerland), Crypt Crawler (Australia), to Crossfaith (Japan).
