Alex Jones’ cat, presenter who spread fake news, evaluated by the American Justice

Meme for some, tragic for others, announcer and presenter Alex Jones spread countless fake news in his programs, especially Infowars, and gained particular attention following being convicted of $965 million —more than BRL 5 billion— following spreading disinformation regarding the Sandy Hook school massacre, which took place in 2012, and which left 26 victims.

Already declared bankrupt following numerous lawsuits in court, owing a total of more than $1.5 billion, now the presenter has appeared in a video on Twitter, posted by his wife, in which he mentions how his ragdoll cat, called Mushu, is in the sights of American justice —especially for its high value (at least for a pet) of US$ 2,000.

In the video, Jones explains that the Justice Department asked him if he had hidden assets in the cat to make it worth so much money. Of course, the cat bust would only tickle the conspiracy theorist’s total debt.

“This is not a joke, this is real. That really happened,” Jones said in the video. “[O Departamento de Justiça] wanted to know if assets were hidden in the cat… They want the cat for the families of Sandy Hook. So the deal is over, you’re not keeping the cat. “This is harassment,” he says.

It is worth recalling that the presenter repeatedly said that the massacre at Sandy Hook was actually a false flag operation by the government, not an actual shooting. The families of the victims filed lawsuits, and it was only last year that Jones ended up recognizing the truth of the tragedy.
