isHealthPeru’s social security institution, reported that Alexander Toledo, was discharged today following being emergency care in a health center following suffering a hypertensive crisis while showing up for a scheduled doctor’s appointment.
Subsequently, the Peruvian National Penitentiary System issued a statement, in which he explained that Toledo was transferred for “appointments scheduled in advance in the services of cardiology, gastroenterology and urology”.
Toledo is located in preventive prison following being extradited from USA and while he is being tried for a case of alleged corruption.
The Efe agency assured that sources close to Toledo explained that “they have to check him out for his heart.”
