Princeton University, in the United States, will present a series of films dedicated to the actor Alfredo Castro.

The series of presentations is called “Alfredo Castro: A political retrospective”.

As published CNN Chilethe activity is carried out on the occasion of the “50th anniversary of the military coup once morest President Allende, this retrospective is dedicated to Alfredo Castro (…) whose work is essential for a deep exploration of the cruelty of the dictatorship led by Augusto Pinochet.”

The curators add that “Inspired by the French playwright Antonin Artaud, Castro has theorized regarding the ‘third body’, a key concept in the study of unknown and unacknowledged human impulses.. In this retrospective, we privilege Castro’s decades-long close collaboration with Chilean director Pablo Larraín,” adds CNN.

Along with the film series dedicated to Castro, other activities were also carried out in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the coup, which will last until November 6.

The film series will begin on October 31 and end on Saturday, November 4, at the Princeton headquarters in New York.
