On May 9th, Alpine will unveil a show car with the somewhat cryptic name “A290_ß” in Bristol, UK. The vehicle provides a first glimpse of the brand’s future all-electric sports car, which is scheduled to hit the market in 2024.
The A290_ß (pronounced “beta”) takes up the classic Alpine brand naming with an A followed by three digits. The first number represents the size of the vehicle. The “90” is intended to stand for the brand’s “lifestyle”-oriented sports cars, while the pure sports cars carry the “10”.
