American writer fakes own death, but suddenly announces comeback two years later: “Her suicide tore the book community apart”

The American book world is in turmoil now that a supposedly dead writer has declared that she is not dead following all and is shamelessly announcing her comeback. Susan Meachen would have died by suicide in 2020, but that turns out to be different. Her fans reacted furiously: “We mourned the loss of a woman we considered a friend.”
