In turn, the official spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Defense, Turki Al-Maliki, confirmed that “as an extension of the solid partnership within the framework of military cooperation and joint security coordination between the governments of the Kingdom and the United States of America, two American girls have been freed from detention in the capital, Sana’a,” according to SPA.
Al-Maliki explained that the two American girls were detained and subjected to ill-treatment in the capital, Sanaa, during a family visit, and their passports were seized, stressing that the joint operation came at the request of Washington.
