An evening with your nose in the air, to watch the stars go by in Vicques

2023-08-15 14:05:00

On the occasion of the Night of Shooting Stars, on Saturday August 26, the Jura Astronomical Society will open the doors of its observatory in Vicques from 8 p.m. until midnight. Observations of different stars through the telescope, visits to the dome and its large TBC61 telescope, discovery of the constellations in the sky, planetarium sessions… Many activities will be offered to the public. The evening is also held in partnership with Jurassica, which will offer a fun activity for children.

If the weather permits, the stars of the evening will be Saturn and a little later Jupiter as well as nebula and galaxies. The Moon, announced low, should not interfere too much with the observations.

Admission to the observatory is free and without prior registration.
