Appleannounced on the 17th that it will release an iPad pen “Apple Pencil (USB-C)” that can be charged via USB Type-C (USB-C) in early November. The price is 12,880 yen.

It is a relatively inexpensive model in the Apple Pencil series, and supports charging via USB Type-C, but does not include the contactless charging/wireless pairing function supported by the 2nd generation Apple Pencil. Additionally, pen pressure detection and the ability to switch tools by double-tapping the tip of the brush are not supported. It supports pixel-accurate drawing, low latency, tilt detection, the ability to attach to the side of the iPad with magnets, and the hover preview function on iPad Pro.

The USB Type-C port is a gimmick that appears when you slide the back of the pen, so it can be used in a seamless form when used as a regular pen.

The price of the second generation Apple Pencil is 19,880 yen.
