Sporting Charleroi lost 0-1 to Gantoise on Sunday on Matchday 13 of the Jupiler Pro League. Osman Bukari (45th) scored the only goal of the match. Charleroi, now third with one game less, leaves Club Bruges alone at the top of the standings. La Gantoise is back in tenth position.
In a balanced first half, chances were rare. Kums alerted Penneteau at the half hour, while Dessoleil missed the frame of the head (37th).
Just before the break, Dessoleil did not support his back pass enough, Bukari recovered the ball and went to cheat Penneteau (45th).
The two goalkeepers took turns at the start of the second half. Bolat won his face to face with Fall, who found himself in front of the goalkeeper after a deviation from Rezaei (54th). Penneteau had to relax to repel a strike from the entrance to the rectangle of Vadis (60th).
Bolat was again decisive in the 74th, when he came out perfectly in the feet of Rezaei, after a pass from Morioka. Hanche-Olsen was following well and clearing the ball.
The final forcing of the Zebras did not lead to any truly dangerous opportunity. Stuck at 23 units and one game behind, Charleroi occupies third position, ahead of Club Brugge (26 points), winner of Kortrijk 1-0 on Saturday, and Beerschot (25 points), who defeated Anderlecht 2-1 in the afternoon.
La Gantoise (16 points) goes back to tenth position, 7 points behind Standard, fourth and currently last qualified for the I playoffs.
In the evening (8:45 p.m.), Genk (6th, 22 points) receives Mouscron (16th, 3 points).
