Seville, Mar 3 (EFE) .- The Junta de Andalucía has agreed to maintain most of the measures in force to avoid a fourth wave, such as the closure of the community and the provinces, but has approved since Friday to allow meetings of 6 people and extend until 9:30 p.m. commercial and restaurant activity in areas with alert level 2.
The meetings, of 4 before, now up to 6 people, increase both in the domestic sphere and in the open-air catering and hospitality industry, sources from the regional Executive have reported this Wednesday
Decisions on which areas are at level 2, 3 or 4 will be made tomorrow by the provincial alert committees, sources from the regional executive have reported after the meeting of the expert committee.
When the levels are reviewed tomorrow, in all those municipalities that go to level 2, commerce and hospitality will extend their hours from Friday, since currently the restrictions set the maximum schedule at 6:00 p.m.
To determine which municipalities or health districts are going to enter this level, the parameters applied by all the communities, which are six, will be taken into account: cumulative incidence at fourteen days, cumulative incidence in over 60 years, diagnostic tests, traceability percentages and ICU bed rates and hospitalization rates.
The Minister of Health, Jesús Aguirre, has assured that “a very high volume of the community” will pass to level 2 and has explained that these measures are taken to give “a little air” to the Andalusians but with caution in the face of a possible fourth wave.
The alert level of each municipality will be available tomorrow at mapacovid.es after the meetings of the provincial committees.
In the municipalities that are at level 2 as of this Friday, the sale of alcohol will also be allowed until 9:30 p.m.
The curfew is maintained throughout the community from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., as well as the perimeter closure of Andalusia and the eight provinces.
Municipalities with more than 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and non-essential activity in localities with more than 1,000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants will also continue to be closed.
Alert levels are reviewed every week, so cities at level 3 may spend the following week at level 2 or vice versa, depending on how the incident evolves.
The president of the Board, Juanma Moreno, has asked on Twitter that caution be maintained “to regain normalcy.”
Along these lines, the counselor Aguirre has assured that the measures have been taken “always calling for prudence” because they intend to “minimize a possible fourth wave” and the “plateau phase” that is being recorded in recent days with the third wave. .
He has indicated that the committee of experts has analyzed the drop in the cumulative incidence that Andalusia has registered, both at 7 days and 14 days, and a stabilization of those hospitalized and in ICUs, which does raise concern.
Those infected with covid-19 in Andalusia in the last 24 hours have risen again after several days of decline and stand at 474 cases compared to 359 yesterday, while the deceased rose to 69, 45 more than yesterday, and the incidence has dropped again to 143 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, 18 points less.
