Tehran: Iran national television channel hacked during anti-hijab protest. A national television channel was hacked by digital activists supporting the agitation.

Footage of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei meeting with national officials was interrupted. The message “The blood of our youth is on your skin” was written on the screen. Idalati Ali is believed to be behind the hacking. The slogan ‘Join Us, Wake Up’ was also visible on the right side of the television screen.

Images of Mahsa Amini and three other women were also shown on the screen for a few seconds. The anti-hijab protests in Iran were sparked by the death in custody of Mahsa Amini, who was arrested for not wearing the hijab properly. Persian media also reported the hacking news. The hackers also wrote a message on the screen asking Ayatollah Khomeini to leave the country.
