Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Anwar Gargash, diplomatic advisor to the President of the Emirates, announced that the visit of President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed to Russia is “prescheduled,” stressing that it comes within our “independent sovereign options.”

Gargash said, in a tweet via his Twitter account, on Tuesday, that the visit of the UAE President to Russia is “scheduled in advance within the framework of bilateral relations and within our independent sovereign options.”

He added, “However, the escalation of the war in Ukraine requires an urgent solution through diplomacy and dialogue and respect for the rules and principles of international law, and this is the UAE’s firm and firm position.”

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, on Monday evening, that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s visit to Russia, on Tuesday, “comes within the framework of the UAE’s continuous endeavor to contribute to achieving security and stability in the region and the world, and to enhance fruitful and constructive cooperation with regional and international powers, and to communicate with all parties.” concerned with the crisis in Ukraine to help find effective political solutions.
