Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas clarified his position during the Israel-Hamas war. Abbas announced his position in his opening speech at the Arab Summit held in Cairo, Egypt. The Palestinian president said that the Palestinian people do not intend to flee anywhere and will remain in their homeland. The Arab Summit was held during the Israel-Hamas war with peace efforts.

The countries of Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq and Cyprus are participating in the summit. The Secretary General of the United Nations, the representatives of Japan, Germany, Turkey, Greece and Palestine, and the Secretary General of the Arab League also reached the summit.

At the same time, 14 days following the war started, medicine and food started arriving in Gaza. The 2.3 million people of Gaza were relieved when Rafah opened Egypt. For the last 14 days, these people have been living without even getting water. Egypt opened the Rafah border yesterday at 1 pm Indian time.

WHO trucks were the first to cross the border with medicines. Food and medicines arrive in 20 trucks. Voluntary organizations say that this is not even a thousandth of what is needed. Reports are that the death toll is approaching five thousand in Gaza, where airstrikes are still continuing.
